Additional steps

What can we do if….

Every Israeli citizen must carry his identity card with him from the age of 16.
If you don’t have an identity card, you must have a first identity card for Olim issued.
How?
Please use the online appointment system myVisit
and schedule an appointment at the Netanya branch (13 Remez St., Netanya).
Please bring with you:
Foreign passport
Immigration certificate
Birth certificate
Documents testifying to your eligibility according to the Law of Return
Marriage certificate, divorce certificate, or widow certificate, or a personal declaration testifying to one of these statuses.
Population registry appendix: In cases where you did not receive your ID card at Ben Gurion Airport, you will receive a “population registry form”. This is a form with your identity number and personal details. You will receive the form from the representative of the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration for receiving a permanent ID card from the Population, Immigration, and Border Authority.
Important!
Aside from the legal requirement to carry an ID card, obtaining an identity card is important for you so you can continue receiving the various municipal services, Absorption Basket, etc.

I don’t have an immigration certificate
The Teudat Oleh (immigration certificate) is a booklet given to people with Oleh status, by the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration.
The booklet is one per family and not for each individual, and is used to note the help and benefits received during the integration period.
Children over the age of 21 receive a separate immigration certificate.
You will need to present your immigration certificate each time you turn to the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration or municipal Absorption Division, as well as when you go to the bank for the first time, to the Arnona (city taxes) Department, when you register your children for education frameworks, and more.
